Palmetto Man Arrested on Child-Porn Charges

MANATEE COUNTY, FL – Manatee County Sheriff's detectives today arrested a Palmetto man on charges related to child pornography.

Norman Louis Sparling, 69, was charged him with one count of alleged transmission of child pornography and three counts of suspected sexual performance by a child, Sheriff Rick Wells said.

"Detectives first learned of possible child pornography on the suspect’s computer in 2016," the department said. "Subsequent investigation led to a search warrant and today’s arrest of the suspect."
