• Okaloosa County, Shalimar formalize partnership for new ‘Dowd Park' with interlocal agreement (getthecoast.com) — Shalimar and Okaloosa County have finalized an interlocal agreement to build a new Dowd Park on the northeast corner of the Shalimar Bridge, with a total budget of about $6.5 million. The town will use tourism tax dollars toward its share while the county handles ownership, operations, and security, creating a family-friendly waterfront park that complements existing facilities on the bridge’s south side.
