First Responders Save Unresponsive 4-Year-Old Boy On I-275: Watch

Deputies and Tampa Fire Rescue saved the life of a 4-year-old boy who wasn't breathing in a vehicle pulled over on I-275, FL troopers said.

TAMPA, FL — First responders saved the life of an unresponsive 4-year-old boy in a vehicle pulled to the side on Interstate 275 on Sunday afternoon, the Florida Highway Patrol said. (Watch a video of the life-saving measures taken to save the boy below.)

Deputies responded to a “person down” call on I-275 around 5:20 p.m.

When they arrived, they found the child wasn’t breathing and had no pulse, troopers said.

They sprang into action, performing CPR and rescue breathing until Tampa Fire Rescue arrived and took over.

The child was brought to St. Joseph’s Hospital and is in stable condition.
