Show Your Passion For Living In Area Code 813 On Aug. 13
Hillsborough residents will share a passion for their community on Aug. 13 with social media posts, photos and stories.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL â For more than five years, Hillsborough residents have shared a passion for their community on Aug. 13 with social media posts, photos and stories of adventures in the 813 area code. This year, residents and businesses are getting creative to show their love for the 813.
To help spread the word on social media on 813 Day, residents, businesses and fans of the home area code can help in two ways.
Make 813 Your Own - It's easy to show your love for the borough with objects you have lying around your house or organization. Collect your found objects and create an "813" image out of them. While Hillsborough County is launching this challenge on its Facebook, Twitter and Instagram platforms on Aug. 13, you can share your photos and videos in advance by direct message to the county's social team.

Participants are encouraged to post their "813" to their own social accounts using the hashtag #813Day as well. Maybe a Hillsborough resident with a woodworking shop will put together an 813 sign out of scrap lumber, or a toddler might make an 813 out of teddy bears.
Light Up the 813 - Does your organization have the ability to light up its building or grounds? Hillsborough County is asking for your help in painting the county sky orange on #813Day. Direct message the county's social team with photos or videos of a test run, so they can be pieced together for a "light up" on social at 8:13 p.m. on Aug. 13. Your organization will join locations around the community in celebrating #813Day (at night).
