Boy, 4, Found Stabbed To Death, Mother Injured At St. Pete Home: Reports
Officers are investigating the fatal stabbing of a 4-year-old boy at a St. Petersburg home, reports said.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A 4-year-old boy was found stabbed to death and his mother injured at a St. Petersburg home on Tuesday afternoon, according to multiple reports.
The boy’s 16-year-old sister came home from school to find him dead inside their Tanglewood Drive NE home and called police, WTSP reported.

Officers responded to the home around 3:30 p.m., St. Petersburg police said in an initial news release about the stabbing.
When they arrived, they found the boy dead with stab wounds and his mother injured, Bay News 9 reported. She was taken to Bayfront Hospital.

The girl also found a note in the house that was left by the mother, reports said.
Based on preliminary evidence, police believe the mother stabbed the boy and then herself, reports said.
Investigators couldn’t read the mother’s note until they got a search warrant for the home, Fox 13 reported.
“It looks like the mom stabbed the baby, and we are just waiting to find out more,” Chief Anthony Holloway said.
