In honor of its landmark exhibit "Ancient Egypt: Art and Magic," the museum this week presents Egyptian-themed activities for all ages.
At 11am, Sheramy Bundrick, associate professor of art history at the University of South Florida - St. Petersburg, presents a lecture entitled, "Women and Magic in Ancient Egypt."
Elsewhere in the museum, children can participate in a scavenger hunt in the exhibition and create their own ankh or cartouche pendant. (In ancient Egypt, the ankh was the symbol of life.)
