First Night St. Pete 2012: Treasure Hunt, Labyrinth, Art and More

First Night St. Pete 2012 occurs on more than 28 venues all across downtown to create a family-friendly celebration of epic and artful proportions rife with fireworks, live music, entertainment, dance, games, art, and more.

Purchase a "First Night" button and take in all the fun.

Here, enjoy a mix of interactive experiences. From 5pm to midnight, participate in a treasure hunt presented by St. Petersburg Preservation. Learn about the city's history, find special colored beads, and be rewarded with a treasure for collecting each color.

From 6pm to midnight, "Peek in a POD" -- check out the unique spaces created inside PODS mobile storage units by artists including Blue Lucy, Coralette Damme, Sara McClaron and Kim Radtaz.

From 7pm to 11:30pm, stroll through the traditional First Night labyrinth designed by the Pier Aquarium, David Ellis and Gary Crosby, featuring a special message to start 2012.

Also during these hours, get a limited-edition temporary tattoo of this year's First Night artwork, and "Design Your New Year" with the help of fashion designer Ivanka Ska. Ska will create a 10-foot-tall dress sculpted from wire and fabric where people can attach their resolutions, business cards, or affirmations.
