Student Arrested with Pellet Gun on High School Campus: Police

BREAKING: A photo on social media of the teen reportedly holding a gun was shown to a teacher, who contacted the school resource officer.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL – An 18-year-old student at Lakewood High School in St. Petersburg was arrested for allegedly bring a pellet gun to campus, police said today.

A photo on social media of the teen reportedly holding a weapon was brought to the attention of a teacher, who immediately contacted the School Resource Officer on campus, the St. Petersburg Police Department said.

The student, Rodarius Green, was stopped by the officer as he was boarding the bus to go home and a pellet gun reportedly was found in his backpack, the agency said. Green was charged with suspicion of possessing a weapon on school grounds, a felony, police said.
