The large-scale Hunger Action Day effort supports 150 partner agencies across the county at a time when changes to SNAP funding could strain many working families' food budgets.
   

2. West Palm Beach master plan heads to Planning Board as helipad, high-rise proposals raise new concerns (wpbf.com) — West Palm Beach's fast-changing downtown hits a key moment tonight, as the Planning Board reviews an updated master plan, a proposed CityPlace helipad, and adding the Jaguar dealership site into the downtown zone. 3. Police investigate pedestrian injured by train in West Palm Beach (wpbf.com) — A pedestrian was seriously injured after being struck by a train near 203 South Tamarind Avenue in West Palm Beach, and police are actively investigating the incident. Officers responded around 6 p.m. Tuesday, found the victim on the tracks, and had the person transported to a local hospital as they work to determine what happened.

Palm Beach Day Academy welcomes nearly 600 students at two campuses (palmbeachdailynews.com) — Palm Beach Day Academy has opened its 106th school year with 582 students across its Palm Beach and West Palm Beach campuses, including the Lower School on South Flagler Drive. Families are returning to renovated facilities, updated schedules, and new Lower School leadership, while administrators say enrollment, finances, and programs are all on a strong upward trajectory.
   

5. At Emelina restaurant in West Palm Beach, chefs dream of a Cuba that does not exist (sun-sentinel.com) — A tiny chef's counter called Emelina in Flamingo Park has become West Palm Beach's first Michelin-starred restaurant, and the world's first Cuban spot to earn the honor. Chefs Osmel González and Camila Salazar serve a 10-course modern Cuban tasting menu built on family memories, Florida ingredients, and an imaginative vision of the Cuba they wish could exist today.
