• West Palm mayor wouldn't trim city budget. Now his office faces cuts. (miramarflnews.com) — West Palm Beach commissioners are moving to slightly cut the city's property tax rate and trim about $1 million from next year's budget, largely by shrinking Mayor Keith James' office. The plan would reduce the main tax rate from $8.13 to $8.08 per $1,000 in value while still growing overall revenue, with a final budget vote set for Sept. 23.
