Person Of Interest In Nathan Millard Case Arrested In Baton Rouge
The man has not been named a suspect in Nathan Millard's death, and it is unknown if his charges are connected to the case.
BATON ROUGE, LA — A man who was wanted for questioning in connection with the disappearance and death of 42-year-old Georgia resident Nathan Millard was arrested Sunday night, Baton Rouge Police said Tuesday.
Derrick Perkins, 45, was is charged on suspicion of probation violation, criminal damage to property, three counts of access device fraud and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, police said.
Perkins was identified by police as the person sought for questioning in connection with Millard's case. It is unknown if his charges are connected to the disappearance and death of Millard. Perkins has not been named a suspect in Millard's death.

Millard, of Covington, was found dead on March 6 in the 2900 block of Scenic Highway after being missing in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, since Feb. 23. He was in Baton Rouge on a business trip.
Police have not yet said how Millard died. Police previously said they didn't have any indication of foul play and a preliminary autopsy showed no signs of external or internal trauma.

The Advocate, a Louisiana-based newspaper, reported Millard's body was found wrapped in a rug and plastic and had been left near fast-food restaurants.
Perkins is being held in the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison, police said.
