Alpharetta July 4th Fireworks, Music: 2018 Guide
The city of Alpharetta's event celebrating Independence Day kicks off at 6 p.m. at Wills Park.

ALPHARETTA, GA — The city of Alpharetta is gearing up to host its annual Independence Day Celebration at Wills Park. The city's event celebrating the 4th of July will begin at 6 p.m., culminating with a fireworks display at dusk.
Music provided by three DJs, food vendors, cool treats and beverages will be provided at the park. You can expect classics like barbecue, hot dogs and hamburgers, as well as Mediterranean-style dishes, wood-fired pizza and tacos.
Here are some things to keep in mind if you plan to visit Wills Park to celebrate Independence Day:

- Accessible parking available near Wacky World Playground. Old Milton Parkway between Highway 9 and Wills Road will close when parking lots are full.
- Alcohol and tobacco are prohibited in the park per city ordinance.
- Pets must be on leashes or in a crate.
- Charcoal grills are strictly prohibited. Small propane grills are allowed with permit. To obtain a permit, call 678-297-6123.
- Food vendors accept cash only and will be located by baseball fields 7 and 8, Wacky World area, and open field near the equestrian center. You should note that no food vendors or entertainment will be located on the event lawn behind the Alpharetta Community Center.
- To ensure safety of the large crowd attending, the city discourages use of personal fireworks in the park during this event.
- Some activities may be delayed or canceled due to inclement weather, but the fireworks show is a rain or shine event.
If you're worried about the weather, you should know that there's a chance for thunderstorms every day this week, according to the National Weather Service. On Wednesday, a 30 percent chance for rain kicks in at about 9 a.m. and lasts all day. Otherwise, it will be mostly sunny, with highs reaching 88 degrees. We'll have that same 30 percent chance after dark, so keep an eye on the latest forecasts before heading out to enjoy the fireworks shows in the metro Atlanta area.
