Georgia July 4 Fireworks, Parades And More: 2018 Guide

Need to know where to go for your Independence Day celebration in the Atlanta area? Patch has updated July 4 fireworks, parade schedules.

ATLANTA, GA — Parades are about to get under way across the Atlanta metro and fireworks shows are planned for the Fourth of July holiday. Many fireworks are allowed only at certain times in Georgia. Check with your local municipality for laws regarding fireworks.

We have the list of towns holding fireworks, parades and anything else that should get you in the holiday spirit. You should know that a number of towns are not holding celebrations on July 4 itself. So prepare yourself for anything held before or after.

While the weather will be warm for parades, concerts and other July 4 fun, the Atlanta weather forecast looks like we may have to dodge a few showers for events to go off as planned. The National Weather Service says there is a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms mainly after 2 p.m. on Wednesday with a high near 89. On Wednesday night a 30 percent chance of rain lingers, with showers and storm before 8 p.m. and mostly cloudy skies.
