Mom Found Passed Out In Vehicle Outside Bar

MILTON, GA -- A local mother has been cited with disorderly conduct and indecency charges after she was found passed out in her vehicle outside a Milton bar.

Milton police were dispatched around midnight March 19 to Montana's Bar & Grill at 13695 Highway 9 in response to a call of a resident found unresponsive in her vehicle.

According to an incident report released by the Milton Police Department, the caller told police the woman was drinking at the bar earlier in the evening, and he took her keys "because he did not want her to drive."

The caller also said he tried knocking on the vehicle's window for 20 minutes to get the woman's attention, but she did not respond.

A friend of the woman passed out in the vehicle, according to the report, was inside the restaurant at the time, and told the police the woman, identified as 34-year-old Milton resident Esther Virginia Lucero, has a child she allegedly "left at home."

The two responding officers at the scene also tried knocking on the window to get Lucero to respond.

"After several loud knocks on the window, the female woke up," the report states.

The report also goes on to state the woman's pants were allegedly down around her knees, and officers "immediately" told her to pull up the lower garment.

Lucero stepped out of the vehicle, and "appeared startled" by the officer's presence. She also did not answer any of the questions asked by the cops.

In the meantime, the officers made a welfare check on Lucero's son, who the report indicates was home alone. While those officers conducted the check, the woman stayed behind on the scene and said she was a "terrible mother" and "awful person" through tears.

The woman's friend offered to watch Lucero's son during the incident, and the officers allowed her to take guardianship of the boy.

Lucero was subsequently transported to the Alpharetta Detention and she was cited for indecency and disorderly conduct under the influence.
