Forsyth, Alpharetta crime: Dumping, loitering, meal theft (appenmedia.com) — Recent police reports detail an Alpharetta man jailed on loitering and misrepresentation charges near a North Point Parkway hotel, and a Conyers man charged after allegedly skipping a $90 restaurant bill on Haynes Bridge Road. Another case in nearby Forsyth County involves a Ball Ground resident cited for dumping engine coolant into a storm drain. All individuals are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
   

2. Cody Jinks Teases New October Release — And Fans Think It Might Be A Rock Cover (whiskeyriff.com) — Cody Jinks is teasing new music for October 2, and his current tour with Five Finger Death Punch includes a stop at Ameris Bank Amphitheatre in Alpharetta on October 13. Fans in Alpharetta can expect his genre-blending country and metal-influenced sound live while they wait to see whether the new release is a rock or metal cover.
   

3. Momentos of Home (uga.edu) — Several University of Georgia freshmen talk about the mementos that keep them grounded, including two students who say they deeply miss the people and community they left behind in Alpharetta. Their keepsakes—from photos and stuffed animals to letters and a beloved dog's picture—help them navigate the transition from their Alpharetta homes to campus life in Athens.
   

4. Roswell police reports: Fraud, suspicious persons, gunshots (appenmedia.com) — A Roswell woman with dementia was scammed out of $14,500 after withdrawing cash from a Bank of America on Alpharetta Highway, raising questions about how the large withdrawal was allowed. Roswell police also responded to a late-night suspicious person call where officers heard gunshots near the Roswell Creek apartments but found no suspects.
