Police Identify Motorist Killed in Head-On Collision

Milton, GA -- Authorities in Milton have released the identification of the person who died Thursday afternoon following a two-vehicle collision on a major thoroughfare.

Milton officers responded to the crash around 1:46 p.m. Dec. 10 on S.R. 140/Arnold Mill Road at the Cherokee County line.

Crews arrived on the scene, and found two vehicles involved in the crash.

One of the drivers involved, later identified as 66-year-old Woodstock resident Sylvia England, was seriously injured in the accident and was transported to North Fulton Hospital for treatment, Milton police spokesperson Lt. Charles Barstow said.

England died from her injuries shortly after arriving at the hospital, he added.

The driver of the second vehicle, fellow Woodstock resident Kristen Mitchell, 41, was treated by emergency medical personnel on the scene for non-life threatening injuries. She was subsequently transported to North Fulton for follow-up care, Barstow said.
