• Terminally ill mother watches daughter receive diploma in hospice room (walb.com) — In Ashburn, a Turner County High School senior received her diploma early in a hospice room so her terminally ill mother could watch her graduate. School leaders brought a full, though quieter, ceremony to the family’s home in February. Weeks later, her mother passed away, and the student now plans to honor her legacy by studying nursing at Valdosta State University.
