2 Teens Charged With Murder In 17th Street Bridge Shooting

The teens are also charged on suspicion of aggravated assault and violation of the gang statute, police said Wednesday.

ATLANTA, GA — Two people have been arrested in connection with the Nov. 26 shooting deaths of two teens on the 17th Street bridge, Atlanta Police said Wednesday.

The shooting left Zyion Charles, 12, dead at the scene, police said. Kameron Jackson, 15, died at the hospital, police said.

One of the people arrested was 15-years-old, and the other was 16-years-old, police said. The 16-year-old was arrested in New York, police said.

Both were students at Atlanta Public Schools, police said. They are both being charged on suspicion of two counts of murder, aggravated assault and violation of the gang statute, police said.

They were both identified by police as the two shooters in the case.
