ATL Mural Honors Rapper Takeoff; Cardi B And Offset Pay Tribute

The Migos rapper died Tuesday morning after being shot during a Houston party at a bowling alley.

ATLANTA, GA — A new mural at the Atlanta BeltLine honoring rapper Takeoff has appeared, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Migos rapper Takeoff, whose real name is Kirsnik Khari Ball, died Tuesday morning during a shooting at a Houston bowling alley, a representative for the group told The Associated Press.

Channel 2 reported the mural of Takeoff is located under the John Lewis Freedom Parkway bridge, near Fourth Ward Park.

Takeoff was 28-years-old and was one-third of the Atlanta-based Migos, alongside cousin Offset (Kiari Cephus) and Quavo (Quavious Marshall), his uncle.

While Quavo's Twitter has been silent since the shooting, Offset changed his profile photo to an image of the hip-hop group and his background cover to an image of he and Takeoff together.

Rapper Cardi B, whose married to Offset, retweeted a video of Takeoff captioned "Family forever " with a heart and dove. In the video, posted by Complex Music, Takeoff describes a ring his mother gave him of the two of them.

"It's always going to stay with me," he said in the video. "I'm (not) ever going to take it off."
