All four defendants were indicted on Aug. 14, along with former President Donald J. Trump and 16 other co-defendants. CNN reported Monday attorneys for the defendant were meeting with Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis' office to negotiate their bond.

According to CNN, negotiations include Trump's surrender at the Fulton County Jail and his arraignment on racketeering charges.

A day after Trump was indicted by a Fulton County grand jury on Aug. 14, the Fulton County Sheriff's Office said Trump and his co-defendants will be booked at the Rice Street jail. The group was accused of interfering with the 2020 presidential election, during which Trump, a Republican, lost to Democrat Joe Biden.

In a past report, ABC News reported the defendants have until noon Friday to turn themselves in at the jail.

Trump initially planned to host a press conference Monday, saying he would present exoneration documents. However, he canceled the news conference last week at the advice of his attorneys, per his Truth Social posting Thursday.

He told Fox Business' Larry Kudlow he believes his voice is being suppressed, adding, "They don't want you to ever talk about an election. If you talk about an election, they want to put you in jail."
