Publix, Whole Foods, Walmart: GA Thanksgiving Grocery Store Hours

Find out when time will run out to pick up last-minute items at Publix, Kroger, Whole Foods, Walmart, and Target on Thanksgiving in Atlanta.

ATLANTA, GA — If extra guests at your Thanksgiving table mean a quick trip to the store to pick up more dinner rolls, another pie or drinks, don't worry. Plenty of grocery stores will be open across the Atlanta metro for your last-minute shopping needs.

Here are the hours for grocery stores that will be open on Thanksgiving Day 2019, along with a list of those that won't. Information is taken from their websites, social media and emails to Patch.

  • Albertsons: Select stores should be open from 6 a.m. until 10 p.m.
  • Safeway: Open until 7 p.m. on Thanksgiving.
  • Kroger: Most stores are open 24 hours. Some of the stores are open from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Whole Foods: Hours vary by location. Many stores open at 7 a.m. and close as early as 2 p.m.; it's best to check their local store hours online.
  • Save Mart Supermarkets: Open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Winn-Dixie: Select stores will be open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Walmart: Open normal hours for grocery shoppers on Thanksgiving, but check with stores for variation. Black Friday deals start at 10 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, online and 6 p.m. Thanksgiving in store.
  • Target: All stores are open from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m.
  • Save-A-Lot: Most open 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
  • Piggly Wiggly: All stores open normal hours, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  • CVS: Hours vary but most locations are open normal hours, including 24-hour stores.
