YSL Trial: 2 More Defendants Plead Guilty In ATL RICO Case: Reports

Eight defendants have now pleaded guilty in the Young Slime Life gang trial in Atlanta.

ATLANTA, GA — An eighth defendant has accepted a plea deal in the Young Slime Life gang and racketeering trial in Atlanta, according to the Atlanta-Journal Constitution.

The AJC reported Trontavious Stephens, 29, pleaded guilty Thursday to one count of conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act. He was sentenced to 10 years, with two years commuted to time served and eight years of probation, according to the AJC.

XXL Magazine reported Antonio "Mounk Tounk" Sledge, 41, pleaded guilty Wednesday to conspiracy to violate the RICO Act and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Sledge was sentenced to 15 years probation, the outlet reported.

Prosecution accuses Jeffery "Young Thug" Williams' label, Young Slime Life, of being a criminal street gang. There were a total of 28 co-defendants in the case.

According to XXL, Sledge claimed in a hearing Wednesday that Williams paid him and other YSL associates to "lay low" after the killing of a rival gang member in 2015.

According to the AJC, Sledge also claimed in the hearing that there are two Cleveland Avenue gas stations utilized by YSL associates for selling drugs; other suspected gangs are not allowed to use the stations.

Jury selection in the trial begins Jan. 4, 2023, while the trial will start Jan. 9, 2023, in Fulton County.
