4 Hit By Tree Injured At Six Flags Over Georgia Amid Storm: Report

Four people were taken to a hospital after a tree came down on them during a severe storm at Six Flags Over Georgia, a media report says.

AUSTELL, GA — Four guests suffered injuries after being hit by a tree Sunday at Six Flags Over Georgia during a severe storm, a media report says.

The incident happened sometime near the amusement park's Riverside Parkway entrance, WAGA-TV reported Sunday.

The four people were reportedly treated at the scene before being taken to a local hospital.

This comes amid a severe thunderstorm warning that was issued until 7:15 p.m. Sunday for Mableton, Douglasville and surrounding areas.

Forecasters expected penny-sized hail and 60 mph winds as storms swamped the area.

The status of the four people who were injured was not readily available Monday.
