📰 News we're reading
• Bearcats shut out Blue Devils 41-0 (thepostsearchlight.com) — Bainbridge Bearcats fans can celebrate a dominant 41-0 road win over Columbus, powered by a balanced offense and a stifling defense that allowed just 18 yards. Now sitting fifth in Region 1-4A, Bainbridge hosts Monroe this Friday at Centennial Field, then closes the home schedule against Dougherty on October 23.
• BAIN, Inc. Center for Independent Living staff and consumers learn CPR together (thepostsearchlight.com) — Staff and consumers from BAIN, Inc. just completed CPR training at Bainbridge Memorial Hospital, boosting emergency readiness for people with disabilities across Bainbridge and rural Southwest Georgia. The disability-led nonprofit stresses accessible CPR instruction so more neighbors can respond effectively while waiting for EMS, and invites local families and caregivers to seek out inclusive training options.
• Raymona 'Monie' Peak (bainbridgega.com) — Family and friends in Climax and Bainbridge are mourning Raymona "Monie" Peak, 65, with funeral services set for Wednesday, October 7, at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel and burial at Cedar Grove Cemetery. Loved for her determination, love of the outdoors, and devotion to animals, her family suggests memorial donations to the Bainbridge-Decatur County Humane Society or Walk to End Alzheimer's.
