$1 Million Lottery Prize Claimed By 10 Co-Workers

A pool of 10 employees from the American Honda Motor Company Inc. recently claimed a $1 million prize from the Feb. 15 Powerball drawing. The group matched the first five winning numbers using the Quik Pik option. Dennis Burgess, a 39-year-old stock and material handler for Honda and a member of the pool, said that he was in disbelief when he discovered that the group had a winning ticket.

Medal Of Honor Recipient To Speak At Wall That Heals Ceremony

A decorated Vietnam War veteran will deliver the keynote address during the ceremony of The Wall That Heals' arrival in Johns Creek. Medal of Honor Recipient Command Sgt. Maj. Bennie G. Adkins, U.S. Army (Ret.) is scheduled to be the guest of honor during the event, which will get underway at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 30.

Georgia Urges Hunters To Kill Coyotes

Calling coyotes non-native predators, the state of Georgia has announced a contest encouraging hunters to kill as many of the animals as possible. The Georgia Coyote Challenge, announced this week, runs from March to August. For each confirmed coyote kill, up to five each month, hunters earn an entry into a contest to win a free, lifetime hunting license in the state.
