Buckhead Carjacking Suspect Bit Victim, Police Say

The two were engaged in a struggle over the car at a gas station early last month, a police report says.

Atlanta police are looking for the man they say stole a woman’s car at a Buckhead gas station after biting the owner during a struggle inside the vehicle.

According to a police report acquired by the Buckhead Reporter, the victim was sitting in her 2006 Nissan Altima at a gas station in the 3000 block of Piedmont Road on April 9 when a man covering his face with a shirt barged in through the passenger side door and demanded the keys.

The victim then produced a Glock handgun and pointed it at the suspect, and a struggle ensured. According to the report, at least one shot was fired during the struggle. The report adds that the suspect bit the woman on the arm, causing her to drop the gun and exit the car. The suspect then drove off, heading southbound on Piedmont Road. The stolen car was followed by two men in a a black car.

Officers responding to the scene noted that the victim had three bite marks on her arm, according to the report.
