According to the Buckhead Community Improvement District (CID), the new Charlie Loudermilk Park will officially open at 1 p.m. Tuesday, following a ribbon cutting ceremony on the property. The park had been closed for almost a year while the $2.5 million renovation was completed.
The park now features greenspace, patio seating, a waterfall feature, new walkways, lighting, trees and flowers, and a statue in honor of local philanthropist and Aaron’s founder Charlie Loudermilk.

A 50-foot-tall clock tower has also been installed in the park, although bricks bought by donors to help pay for the renovation will not be featured on the tower as earlier plans envisioned.
Buckhead CID and City of Atlanta officials and their guests will be on hand for the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the CID said Monday afternoon.
