Buford Man During Battery, DUI Arrest: 'I'm a Little Bit Drunk'
The suspect's car reportedly struck a mailbox during an evening with his girlfriend, who suffered an injury.

A Buford man began a recent evening going for dinner with his girlfriend and her niece. The evening ended with his car hitting a mailbox in Lawrenceville, his girlfriend with a bloody nose, and him facing charges that include battery and DUI.
Henry Gomez-Enciso of a Laurel Crossing Parkway address in Buford told police during the arrest (May 22), "I'm a little bit drunk," according to Gwinnett Police records.
Witnesses at the scene in Lawrenceville, where the suspect's girlfriend lived, told police that a woman left the car screaming and walked down the road further. Officers reported that she had a bloody nose, and that her ripped shirt was near the suspect's car.

Blood also was noticed on the suspect's left shirt sleeve.
According to police, the suspect said he and his girlfriend were going to dinner with her niece, who was coming into town from Colorado. He told police that he had 1 1/2 glasses of wine and three martinis to drink.

The women got into an argument at the restaurant, and the suspect told police that he and his girlfriend got into an argument on the way back to her house. He told police that he "could not remember" what the argument was about.
When officers tried to handcuff the suspect at the scene, police had to pin him to the ground to handcuff him. He later struggled with officers at the Gwinnett Detention Center.
Other charges against Gomez-Enciso include obstructing an officer and failure to report striking a fixed object.
