Buford Mother Was Driving Drunk With Son, 9, in Car: Police
She was charged with child endangerment and other offenses.

A Gwinnett County mother has been charged with DUI-child endangerment and other offenses for allegedly drinking drunk with her 9-year-old son in the vehicle.
According to a WSB-TV, which cited the incident report, police followed a trail of anti freeze leading to Joni James’ Buford home. She is accused of running into a parked car on Plantation Mill Road and continuing on. Plantation Mill Road is located just north of the Hamilton Mill area.
According to jail records, Joni Krista James was booked into the county detention center just after midnight on Dec. 13. She was released on bond around eight hours later.

She faces the following charges: DUI-child endangerment, DUI, striking an unattended vehicle and following too closely.
She told police she had four margaritas before the incident, according to WSB.
