Fire Reported at Buford Apartment Building

Gwinnett County firefighters were dispatched to a Sturgeon Road apartment building shortly after 5 a.m. on April 18 in response to a report of a fire.

Crews discovered a small, smoldering electrical fire on the exterior wall of the building.

"The bulk of the responding fire department units was cancelled and returned to service," wrote Gwinnett County Public Information Officer Capt. Tommy Rutledge in an email to media outlets. "The scene was quickly turned over to property maintenance/management."
