Man Accused In Car Crash That Killed Buford Teen In Custody
The man is being charged on suspicion of first-degree vehicular homicide and other charges, police said.
GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — A Flowery Branch man is being charged in the killing of a 16-year-old Buford teen, Gwinnett authorities told Patch.
Police say Caitlyn Pollock died Saturday in a single-car crash near State Route 16. She was a Mill Creek High School cheerleader in Hoschton, police said.
Kyle McDowell, 21, is being charged on suspicion of failure to maintain lane, driving under the influence of alcohol-less safe and first-degree vehicular homicide, police said.

McDowell sustained minor injuries in the crash and had to be taken to the hospital, police said.
It is unknown if he had been booked into jail as of Friday morning.
