• GNTC honors fall 2026 inductees into the National Technical Honor Society (allongeorgia.com) — Students from Calhoun and across northwest Georgia were recently inducted into the National Technical Honor Society during a packed ceremony at Georgia Northwestern Technical College's Gordon County campus in Calhoun. The honor recognizes GNTC students with strong grades and conduct, highlighting local residents like Estephanie and Maria Orozco and Tiffany Thompson for their academic achievements and future career potential. 
• GNTC Foundation awards fall 2026 scholarships (daily-tribune.com) — Several Calhoun residents, including David Lopez and Kevin Rico, have earned Georgia Northwestern Technical College Foundation scholarships that help cover tuition, supplies, and other education costs. The awards, totaling more than $54,000 across northwest Georgia, support local students in programs like computer support and air conditioning technology, strengthening the Calhoun-area workforce pipeline.
