14 Educators Named Microsoft Innovative Experts

They will advise Microsoft and educational institutions on how to integrate technology into instruction.

Fourteen educators in the Cherokee County School District have earned the prestigious title of 2015-16 Microsoft Innovative Educator Experts, recognizing them as leaders in using technology to transform education.

Among the 215 honorees selected from a pool of thousands of applicants nationwide are:

  • Sandi Adams, CCSD technology project specialist;
  • Dianne Steinbeck, principal, Holly Springs ES STEM Academy;
  • Stephanie Gauthia, media specialist, Holly Springs ES STEM Academy;
  • Lisa Loughheed, Holly Springs ES STEM Academy;
  • Karina Bailey, Holly Springs ES STEM Academy;
  • Amy Hausler, Holly Springs ES STEM Academy;
  • Lauren Pittman, Holly Springs ES STEM Academy;
  • Jessica Hemphill, Holly Springs ES STEM Academy;
  • Nancy Bennett, Holly Springs ES STEM Academy;
  • Julie Key, Holly Springs ES STEM Academy;
  • Kimberley Forrester, Holly Springs ES STEM Academy;
  • Lee Coker, Etowah HS;
  • Merry Willis, Carmel ES; and,
  • Suzy Lolley, CCSD instructional technology specialist.

As MIE Experts, these educators will advise Microsoft and educational institutions on how to integrate technology into instruction and be an advocate at conferences, events and trainings for how Microsoft technology can improve learning.
