2 Charged in Kohl's Robbery in Canton
The robbery was reported around 12:34 p.m. Friday at the Canton Marketplace shopping center.

CANTON, GA -- The Canton Police Department has charged two people with robbing a department store Friday afternoon.
Ball Ground residents Yeovany Perez, 34, and Abigayil Perez, 33, have each been charged with one count of robbery. Yeovany Perez faces an additional count of terroristic threats and acts in connection to the incident, which took place at Kohl's around lunch time.
Officers with the agency were dispatched around 12:34 p.m. Nov. 4 to the store, which is located at 2304 Cumming Highway in the Canton Marketplace development.

According to the department's press release, the pickup truck containing the suspects left the store before the officers arrived on the scene.
Witnesses also told police the suspects "verbally threatened to use a weapon" against loss prevention employees, but no weapon was brandished, Canton police say.

A be-on-the-lookout alert was issued for the suspects as well as the vehicle and roughly 10 minutes later, a deputy with the Cherokee Sheriff's Office located the truck in downtown Ball Ground.
The suspects were taken into custody and booked into the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center.
