3 Injured in Two-Vehicle Collision in Canton
One passenger had to be extricated from a car in the crash on Marietta Highway at its intersection with Knox Bridge Highway.
CANTON, GA -- A two-vehicle collision sent three residents to the hospital Tuesday afternoon in Canton.
Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services and the Canton Fire Department responded to the crash on Marietta Highway near its intersection with S.R. 20/Knox Bridge Highway around 2 p.m. May 24.
Crews arrived on the scene to find the wreckage involving a GMC pickup truck and a Buick Lesabre.

The passenger inside the Buick was entrapped and had to be extricated, Cherokee County fire said in its press release.
The agency also said the 59-year-old woman possibly suffered injuries to her chest cavity. The driver, a 59-year-old male, reported injuries to his back and shoulder.

The 18-year-old male driver of the truck had minor injuries. All three patients were transported to WellStar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta for treatment.
