Active Shooter Seminar Scheduled For Sept. 12
The Canton Police Department will host its free course at First Baptist Canton.

CANTON, GA -- The Canton Police Department is planning to host an upcoming training program designed to equip you with the tools to avoid getting hurt or fatally wounded in an active shooter situation.
The Civilian Response To Active Shooter Events seminar will be held from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12 at First Baptist Canton, which is at 1 Mission Point.
This course is designed and built on the Avoid, Deny, Defend strategy that developed by the Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training Center located at Texas State University (SIGN UP: Get Patch's Daily Newsletter and Real Time News Alerts.
