American Legion Honors Cherokee County Public Safety
The Thomas M. Brady Post No. 45 of the American Legion presented awards to firefighters and law enforcement officials.

CHEROKEE COUNTY, GA — The Thomas M. Brady Post No. 45 of the American Legion, located at 160 McClure Street in Canton, honored public safety last Thursday night by presenting awards to firefighters and law enforcement officials.
At the conclusion of a meal, Post Commander Raymond Rollins came forward and presented the following awards in the fire service:
- Battalion 1 Firefighter Award: Lt. Brady Cornelison
- Battalion 2 Firefighter Award: Sgt. Nick Durham
- Battalion 3 Firefighter Award: FAO Isaac Bjorklund
- Volunteer Firefighter Award: Brice Futch
- EMS Employee of the Year Award: Sgt. Dwayne Barbee
- Fire Administration Award: Lisa Marie Wright
- Special Operations Award: Bill Hesketh
- Explorer of the Year Award: Gabriel Shull
