Armed Robbers Take Vehicles From Canton Dealership: Police
One of the three suspect fled police, crashed the vehicle on I-575 near Highway 92 in Woodstock and ran away on foot.

CANTON, GA -- The Canton Police Department is investigating an armed robbery of a car dealership reported early Friday morning. Officers were dispatched around 6:18 a.m. Oct. 6 to a call of a robbery at Shottenkirk Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram at 200 Liberty Boulevard.
A service department employee told cops that three men armed with handguns came into the business and took a phone and three sets of keys from the service counter, the police department said.
The suspects each took a vehicle and left the area. A deputy with the Cherokee Sheriff's Office observed one vehicle traveling on the southbound side of Interstate 575 and attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the car (SIGN UP: Get Patch's Daily Newsletter and Real Time News Alerts. Cherokee Sheriff's Office spokesperson Sgt. Marianne Kelley said the vehicle fled and wrecked along the interstate near Highway 92 in Woodstock and the male subject took off on foot into the wood line. The subject, who has not been apprehended, is described as a black male with a thin build and was wearing a black T-shirt and dark-colored blue jeans. He may have also been carrying or wearing a gray hoodie, Kelley added.
The suspects were all described as black males in their early 20's. No other physical descriptions were provided by police.

The stolen Jeeps that remain at large a black 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee (Georgia Tag RGP4223) and a black 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee sporting a dealer drive-out tag. Anyone with information is asked to contact 911.
