Armed Suspect Robs CVS Pharmacy in Hickory Flat
The Cherokee Sheriff's Office said the suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash from the store early Saturday morning.
A second CVS Pharmacy in Cherokee County has been the target of an armed robbery.
Deputies with the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the store at 6120 Hickory Flat Highway shortly after 7:30 a.m. Jan. 3.
According to the agency’s press release, the suspect “took two clerks at the store to the back room where he stole an undisclosed amount of cash.”

The suspect, who did have a handgun, is described as a black man wearing dark clothing, a hood and a mask, said Cherokee Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Lt. Jay Baker.
Sheriff’s office investigators are asking the public to call 911 if they were in the area at the time of the incident and possibly saw anything unusual.

“Facts in this armed robbery are very similar to the armed robbery that occurred at the CVS in the Sixes community in early December,” Baker added.
