Attempted Kidnapping Reported In Canton: Police
BREAKING: A 12-year-old boy said a man told him his mother was sick and that he was sent to pick him up.

CANTON, GA -- The Canton Police Department is investigating a possible kidnapping attempt on a 12-year-old child in the northern part of the city. The agency said the 12-year-old boy was walking in the subdivision located off Fate Conn Road around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10 when he was approached by a male driving a newer model, black four door vehicle.
The subject, described as a white male with long hair, told the boy "his mother was sick at the hospital and she sent 'them' to pick him up," the police department added.
Undeterred, the boy told the male subject he just got off the phone with his mom and that she was at home. The male subject drove away, and the child went home to report the incident to his mother (SIGN UP: Get Patch's Daily Newsletter and Real Time News Alerts.
