Autopsy Results On Nurse Found Dead Could Take 'Months': Police
A security guard found the woman's body Tuesday evening inside her vehicle in the Northside Hospital-Cherokee parking deck.

CANTON, GA — The Canton Police Department continues to investigate the tragic discovery of a Northside Hospital-Cherokee nurse found dead inside her vehicle Tuesday evening.
The cause of death for the woman is pending, as autopsy results could take a "couple of months," said police spokesperson Pacer Cordry.
A security guard discovered the 44-year-old woman's body May 22 inside a parking deck at the hospital located off S.R. 20/Cumming Highway near Interstate 575. Canton police previously told Patch the guard was looking for the employee because she hadn't turned up for work.

Cordry said there were no indications of foul play or a medical issue that could have contributed to the nurse's passing. Northside Hospital spokesperson Katherine Watson said the woman, a resident of Acworth, had been employed as a nurse with the facility since February 2017. Cordry said her identity will be released once all of her relatives have been contacted and informed.
