Black Ice Possible Saturday Morning as Snow Melts and Freezes

National Weather Service notes motorists should use extreme caution on the roadways.

As temperatures drop below freezing Friday night, the concern for black ice returns to northern Georgia.

The National Weather Service is particularly concerned with communities north of Rome and Canton that still have partially melted snow cover.

“Motorists are urged to use extreme caution on the roadways,” according to the NWS.
