Fundraiser Helps Girl Battling Rare Genetic Disorder

Pancakes & Princesses, Breakfast for Harper will be held Nov. 5 at Applebee's in Canton.

Organizers are calling it, “Pancakes & Princesses, Breakfast for Harper.”

Harper Fry is a beautiful 6-year-old Cherokee County girl with the rare genetic disorder Metachromatic Leukodystrophy (MLD).

This terminal affliction has left Harper unable to walk or speak, and she suffers from seizures and needs help breathing.

As you can imagine, caring for Harper and keeping her as comfortable as possible is expensive. Harper’s family could use your help by participating in this special event. It takes place on Saturday, Nov. 5 from 8 to 10 am at Applebee’s at 421 Riverstone Parkway in Canton.

Everyone’s favorite princesses (Snow Queen & her sister) will be there for photos as you enjoy your pancake breakfast and support Harper. Each $10 ticket includes 3 pancakes, 2 sausage links, choice of coffee, tea, juice or soda and photos with the princesses.
