Canton Festival Of The Arts Returns This Weekend
The 14th annual event will be held Saturday and Sunday, May 21-22 at Brown Park.

CANTON, GA -- Art lovers, rejoice!
The 14th annual Canton Festival of the Arts will roll into town this weekend, bringing the popular juried arts show to downtown Canton from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 21 and Sunday, May 22.
This event will feature an artist market with more than 75 exhibitors from nine states; serenity gardens, which celebrate the art of living well and all things green; food concessions and a wine and beer garden; an interactive children's experience that offers activities for youngsters; and live entertainment on the main stage.

The centerpiece of the festival, the artist market will include exhibitors showcasing work using mediums such as oil, watercolor, fine blown glass, elegant and whimsical jewelry, decorative and functional pottery, sculpture and hand turned wood, among others.
Also included in the annual event will be a literary celebration that will be held at both days at Canton City Hall, which is located at 151 Elizabeth Street.

All panel discussions and readings are free and open to the public, and books will also be sold on-site by Woodstock-based FoxTale Book Shoppe. The lineup includes:

Additionally, this year's festival will include a new feature: the Arist Passport. Attendees will be given this document upon entry. For each artist you visit in the market, you will stamp your passport. Once you reach 10 stamps, you will be entered into a drawing for a gift basket filled with local goodies.
The suggested donation at entry is $5 for each adult and teen age 12 years and older. All proceeds will benefit the Cherokee County Arts Council.
