Canton Police Department Welcomes New Officer

Addison Bass is a recent graduate of the Georgia Public Safety Training Center Cherokee.

CANTON, GA — Another new recruit has signed on to serve with the Canton Police Department. Addison Bass took his oath of office on Wednesday, Jan. 3, which was given by Municipal Court Judge Tom Roach.

Bass is a recent graduate of the Georgia Public Safety Training Center Cherokee where he obtained certification to become a police officer in the Peach State.

His mother had the honor of pinning on his badge with friends and family in attendance.

"We are very happy to have Officer Bass with our organization and very proud of this accomplishment," said Police Chief Mark Mitchell. "He has a very bright future with our department and will do an excellent job serving the citizens of the Canton community."
