Canton Police Explorers Take Part in Winterfest
The annual competition held in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, included 75 agencies from 12 states.

The Canton Police Explorers competed in law enforcement-related activities at Winterfest, an annual competition held in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
The competition, held Feb. 7, included over 75 agencies from 12 states. Explorer posts from police, fire and emergency services agencies take part in competitions designed to test their skills and knowledge on subjects pertaining to the public safety organizations they represent.
Team members from Canton received a third-place finish in DUI Traffic Stop, fifth-place in Suspicious Death Investigation and placed sixth in Individual Tactical Fitness Challenge.

“Our Explorers did an amazing job of representing the city of Canton and the Police Department,” said Canton police Community Outreach Coordinator Pacer Cordry. “They trained hard for the past year to prepare the competition and their hard work paid off.”
