Canton Police To Host National Night Out On Tuesday

The Canton Police Department on Tuesday will join thousands of other law enforcement agencies in the 32nd annual National Night Out celebration.

The city’s event will take place 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Aug. 4 at the Etowah River Park.

The free, family-friendly event will allow residents and youngsters to meet officers and firefighters, check out public safety vehicles, witness K-9 demonstrations and enjoy live entertainment, food and bounce houses.

National Night Out is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support for and participation in local anti-crime efforts, strengthen police and community partnerships, and to send a message to criminals that neighborhoods are uniting together to fight crime.
