Canton Police Launch Roving Roll Calls In Community

Roll calls brief officers on current issues or crime trends impacting their patrol areas before they begin their shifts.

CANTON, GA — As part of its continued efforts to strengthen its relationship with the community, the Canton Police Department will launch what's known as Roving Roll Calls.

Each of the agency's Uniform Patrol shifts holds roll call before they embark on their duties for the day (or night). Officers are briefed on current issues or crime trends impacting their patrol areas.

Throughout the summer, Canton police will hold roll calls at various locations in the city two or three times a month. The first roll call will be held a 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, July 18 at Walmart at 1550 Riverstone Parkway.
