When officers arrived at the complex, the woman told officers she yelled at the suspect, who fled the scene before police units arrived.

Throughout Monday, Canton officers also took additional entering auto reports at the complex and locations along Oak Side Drive, which is located adjacent to the apartment units.

“Our detectives are currently in the field canvassing the areas and speaking to residents in an effort to generate solid leads in these cases,” said Canton police spokesperson Pacer Cordry.

Cordry added the agency has increased patrols in these locations and is asking citizens who have any information pertaining to the incidents to contact Detective Drew Henson at (770) 720-4883 or drew.henson@canton-georgia.com.

In the meantime, residents are strongly encouraged to lock their vehicles and remove any valuables such as cash, jewelry, guns, computers, GPS devices, wallets and purses.
