Teens Stole Mail From Canton Mailboxes: Cops
One 17-year-old male and a 16-year-old juvenile are charged with theft by taking for incidents occurring in the Great Sky subdivision.

CANTON, GA — The Canton Police Department has charged two teens with stealing from mailboxes in one of the city's largest subdivisions. Officers were dispatched around 10:40 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21 to a report of the thefts on Evening Rain Crest and Thundering Hills Ridge in the Great Sky community.
Officers began patrolling the area, interviewed several witnesses and found a 17-year-old male and a 16-year-old girl who matched the description of the subjects in the area, the agency said.
Another witness, according to the police department, found several pieces of mail behind his home and gave those items to police. Detectives were also dispatched to the scene, and interviewed witnesses and tried to talk to the pair accused of the crime.

Those investigators charged the 17-year-old, Teziyah Tyemiar Frederick of Canton, and the 16-year-old juvenile, also of Canton, with two counts each of misdemeanor theft by taking. Canton police say more charges of theft are pending "as we work to identify all victims in the investigation."
